Software Symptoms
A program I installed will not run in Windows, or keeps causing General Protection Faults.
- First Step : If it is a DOS program, check the PIF settings.
- More information : A Program Information File holds information regarding how a non-Windows program should run. You can examine the PIF settings using PIF Edit in Windows 3.x, or by right-clicking on an icon and choosing Properties in Windows 95/98. Look at all the settings, and check that they match what is required by your software. Check your software documentation for details.
