Printer Symptoms

I can print from DOS, but I cannot print properly from Windows or a graphical program.

First Step : Check you have the correct printer driver, and that it is the most current version.
More information : Graphics are more complex than text, and require the correct printer driver to be used by the software. Ensure that the driver software matches the type and model of the printer. If your printer is set up to use emulation, then make sure the driver matches the type and model of printer being emulated. If you do have the driver, then make sure it is not corrupted, and that it is the most recent version available. Re-install the driver if you think it may be corrupted. If you are using Windows 95, you can use the Device Manager to find out if the printer is trying to use a resource that is in use by another device, which could also cause problems.
