Monitor Symptoms

• First Step : Check the display resolution. Make sure you are not trying to use too high a resolution.
• More information : If you are trying to use a video mode that has more detail, or a faster refresh rate than the monitor can handle, the monitor can often show some strange results. Make sure that the monitor can handle the video mode you are trying to use. Also, if you are trying to use a non-interlaced mode, make sure that the monitor is capable of this mode. A sign that this may be the problem is if your monitor works fine when booting up, but then goes strange when you try to enter a graphics mode such as in Windows.
