Problems with Tape Drives or other Mass Storage Devices

The software does not recognise my mass storage device.

First Step : Check the drivers are the correct and most up-to-date version.
More information : It is always useful to check that the software drviers for your hardware are correct. If you feel they may be corrupted, simply reinstall them. Also, check that you have the most recent version, as there is always the possibility that it may include a bug fix for just this problem.
